DESCRIPTION
This Texas Board of Nursing Jurisprudence course meets 1 contact hour of the continuing education requirements for nurses practicing in the state of Texas. By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Describe the legislative purpose of the Texas Nursing Practice Act
- Recall the Texas Board of Nursing Mission Statement
- Define and compare the scope of nursing practice for registered nurses with licensed vocational nurses in Texas
- List at least two standards of practice applicable to all nurses
- Recall the definition of “professional boundaries” and its application in the use of social media.
Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
