DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Identify legislative trends in medical error reporting requirements
- Identify the relationship between federal and state error reporting laws
- Discuss the legal implications of mandatory medical error reporting
- Recite three or more publicly reported quality measures
- Define the relationship between error reporting, quality measures, and healthcare reimbursement
- Recall trends, methods, and outcomes of full medical error disclosure.
Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
