DESCRIPTION
This course provides an overview of elderly and dependent adult abuse and neglect. By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Describe risk factors for elder and dependent adult abuse and neglect
- Name three strategies to prevent elder and dependent adult abuse
- List four types of abuse
- Define the difference between abuse and neglect
- State the mandatory reporting requirement for elder abuse and dependent adult abuse.
Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
