Description
This course provides an overview of advance care planning. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: identify and describe the potential barriers for people in planning for their future in both matters of personal assets and healthcare decision making; identify communication techniques to help facilitate future care planning discussions with residents and their family members; define the purpose and process for executing advance directives; and identify the resources and tools available to assist residents in facilitating this process.
This course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for:
- California RCFE Administrators
- California Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (CA BRN)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
