Description

This course fulfills the Florida Board of Nursing requirement for two (2) hours of continuing education on the laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing in Florida. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: describe the legislative purpose of the Nurse Practice Act and at least two functions of the Florida State Board of Nursing; identify licensure and continuing education requirements for Florida nurses; list at least three reasons that disciplinary action may be imposed against a Florida nurse; identify the differences in nursing practice between advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants; describe the parameters of delegation by Florida nurses.

Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professionals:

  • Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)

Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
