This course is offered jointly with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles as the joint provider. Objectives of this course include: identify the unique care needs associated with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias; describe the importance of identifying family members who are involved in care; describe the importance of assessing the needs of families and engaging family members in care planning; and identify appropriate community-based resources and supports available to families.

Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.

Per California Department of Public Health regulations, a time/pause mechanism must be incorporated in this online program.
