Description
This course is jointly offered with Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, who is the joint provider. Objectives of this course include:
- Identify the difference between age-related memory loss and cognitive impairment
- Differentiate between hallmark characteristics of Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia
- Identify cognitive, behavioral, and functional changes associated with the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease
- Determine how to use a validated cognitive screening tool
Approved for 1.0 CEU/contact hour for Nurses (all states) and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrators in CA. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2019.
This course is approved for Dementia under the following Core of Knowledge: Managing Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias.
