This course is jointly offered with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles, who is the joint provider. Objectives of this course include: identify difference between age-related memory loss and cognitive impairment; differentiate between hallmark characteristics of Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia; identify cognitive, behavioral, and functional changes associated with the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease; determine how to use a validated cognitive screening tool.

Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
