This course provides an advanced overview of Alzheimer’s and strategies to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Learners will be able to: list three barriers to getting a diagnosis; identify at least three strategies professionals can use to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis; and discuss the importance of connecting families to Alzheimer’s specific supportive and educational programs and services.

Course approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for Florida Certified Nursing Assistants.

Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
