Description

This course provides an advanced overview of Alzheimer’s and strategies to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Learners will will be able to: list three barriers to getting a diagnosis; identify at least three strategies professionals can use to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis; and discuss the importance of connecting families to Alzheimer’s specific supportive and educational programs and services.

Approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:

  • Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM)
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
  • Social Workers (NASW)

Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
