This course provides an overview of the financial impact that medical errors have on the healthcare industry. By the end of this course learners will be able to: 1) discuss the impact of medical errors on healthcare organization finance, 2) identify the impact of medical errors on the finances of individual providers, and 3) describe the impact of medical errors on the financial viability of healthcare organizations in the age of healthcare reform. Course is approved for 1.0 CEUs/contact hours for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2023.
