DESCRIPTION
After completing this course, the learner will understand sexual harassment in the workplace and how it negatively affects employees. This training will help in preventing and responding to incidents of workplace sexual harassment. Specifically, you will be able to:
- Describe the risks and prevalence of sexual harassment in the workplace.
- Explain the terms “sexual harassment” and “abusive conduct” defined by federal law and California laws.
- Identify two broad categories of sexual harassment and review examples of each.
- Describe workplace resources required in California, including employee and supervisor training; communications, postings, and distributions; sexual harassment policy; and how to report sexual harassment within the company.
- Review the supervisor’s responsibility to prevent and report harassment and what to do if personally accused.
- Describe two additional external resources and remedies available for victims of sexual harassment —review strategies to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
This course is approved for 2 CE/Contact Hours of continuing education for the following professions:
- California Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (CA BRN)
Participants must pass the final quiz with 80% or more and may re-take the quiz as often as needed.
