DESCRIPTION
Objectives of this course include:
- Define combative behavior in the context of caring for persons with dementia.
- Implement the “5 Whys” to understand the reason for the combative behavior in persons with dementia.
- Identify at least three intervention strategies effective at minimizing, managing, and preventing combative behavior in persons with dementia.
This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 1.25 CE/Contact Hours by NAB/NCERS—Approval # 20250324-1.25-A100251-DL. This course applies to the following professions:
- Nursing Home Administrators (all states)
- Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators (most states)
Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
