DESCRIPTION
This course is offered jointly with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles as the joint provider. Objectives of this course include:
- Identify the unique care needs associated with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias.
- Describe the importance of identifying family members who are involved in care.
- Describe the importance of assessing the needs of families and engaging family members in care planning.
- Identify appropriate community-based resources and supports available to families.
Approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education Recognition Point(s) (CERPS) in Category B
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehab Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
