Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define burn shock.
- Discuss the principles of fluid resuscitation for burn patients.
- Discuss the principles of nutritional support for burn patients.
- Discuss pain management in the burn patient.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Advanced Practice RN (APRN): This course includes 1.0 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours.
- CA Workers’ Comp Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 1.0 contact hour of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
