DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- Differentiate between SIDS and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)
- Identify the incidence of SIDS
- List the preventative measures against SIDS
- Identify one organization completing research on SIDS and the types of research being conducted
- Discuss points of safe sleep and SIDS prevention education for parents and caregivers
This course is approved for 3.5 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
