DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Describe the difference between assisting with medications and administering medications
- Identify the restrictions for managing medications in an RCFE
- List at least 3 compliance requirements for managing medications in an RCFE
- Understand the training requirements for RCFE staff to qualify to assist residents with medication management.
This course is intended to contribute to caregiver and/or staff training in the categories of Medication Management; Medication Policies and Procedures and Best Practices. Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
