DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the cause and pathophysiology of pediatric head trauma.
- Identify signs and symptoms of pediatric head trauma.
- Discuss how to assess and prioritize evidenced-based care for patients with pediatric head trauma.
- List effective communication strategies with patients and the care team.
- Discuss the coordination of evidence-based multidisciplinary care for patients with pediatric head trauma.
Course is approved for 3.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. This course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
