DESCRIPTION
Course objectives include:
- Identify the most common modes of transmission for bloodborne pathogens (BBP).
- Describe the best practices for safe handling of BBP in the workplace.
- Recognize what to do if you have contact with a possible containment.
- Recall the BBP incident reporting requirements.
Course is based on federal OSHA standards and is considered advanced for technical content and learning interactions. Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
