DESCRIPTION
This course provides an advanced overview of the Hospice Model of Care. It is appropriate for Nursing Home Administrators, Assisted Living Administrators, healthcare workers, social service professionals, and other professionals who may interface with hospice, as well as for patients, families, and others who are interested in learning more about hospice services and philosophies. Learners will achieve the following objectives:
- Describe the philosophy of Hospice Care.
- Identify five core members of the Hospice team and each role.
- Explain three components of Hospice Care.
- Define eligibility criteria for Hospice.
- Analyze a case study involving Hospice.
This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 1.75 CE/Contact Hours by NAB/NCERS—Approval # 20250718-1.75-A103828-DL. This course applies to the following professions:
- Nursing Home Administrators (all states)
- Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators (most states)
Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
