DESCRIPTION
Course objectives include:
- Identify the basic anatomy of the back.
- Describe proper posture and body mechanics.
- Describe proper lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling techniques.
- Explain the difference between back sprain and strain.
- Describe how back health is impacted by weight, nutrition, and exercise.
Course is approved for 1.0 CE/contact hours for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
