DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Define chronic pain and traditional pharmacological and interventional modalities for chronic pain management.
- Recognize the use of opioids in chronic pain management and contributing factors relating to opioid use disorder.
- Discuss the properties and evidence-based linkage in medical cannabis for pain management.
- Discuss the benefits, side effects, risks and the individuals responsibilities in using medical cannabis.
Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
