DESCRIPTION
This course provides an overview of activities appropriate for an RCFE program and offers practical suggestions for implementation. By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Identify the benefits of a quality activity program
- Identify and utilize online and community resources for activities
- Identify and avoid common pitfalls when developing an activity program in assisted living
- Develop a quality activity program that will take into account the social, physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of the residents.
This course is intended to contribute to caregiver and/or staff training. Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
