DESCRIPTION
This course provides an overview of the financial impact that medical errors have on the healthcare industry. By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Discuss the impact of medical errors on healthcare organization finance
- Identify the impact of medical errors on the finances of individual providers
- Describe the impact of medical errors on the financial viability of healthcare organizations in the age of healthcare reform.
Medical Errors is a required continuing education topic for nurses in the state of Florida.
This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 1.25 CE/Contact Hours by NAB/NCERS—Approval # 20250324-1.25-A100110-DL. This course applies to the following professions:
- Nursing Home Administrators (all states)
- Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators (most states)
Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
