DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Identify the basic anatomy of the back.
- Identify proper posture and body mechanics.
- Describe proper lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling techniques.
- Explain the difference between back sprain and strain.
- Describe how back health is impacted by weight, nutrition, and exercise.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
