DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to enhance the healthcare provider’s knowledge about person-centered care.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define person-centered care.
- Determine why person-centered care is essential.
- Discuss the barriers to providing person-centered care.
- List steps to establish a framework to put person-centered care into practice.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Course Details
To receive 1.0 contact hour of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
