Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define childhood obesity and contributing factors.
- Identify health risks associated with childhood obesity.
- Identify lifestyle management strategies that help to prevent childhood overweight and obesity.
- Describe nutritional guidelines for various age groups.
- Recognize healthcare and educational initiatives for prevention of childhood obesity.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 4.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Course Details
To receive 4.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
