DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Define Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- Differentiate between Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)
- Identify the incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- List the preventative measures against Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- Identify one organization completing research on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and the types of research being conducted
- Discuss points of safe sleep and SIDS prevention education for parents and caregivers
Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
