DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and basic components of an ergonomic assessment.
- Describe risk factors that lead to work injuries.
- Explain ergonomic strategies used to reduce safety hazards in the workplace.
- Explain the basic principles of workstation design and job restructuring.
- Describe tools and equipment used for ergonomic supports.
- Identify benefits of ergonomic services.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
