DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Identify the salient laws and regulations related to the CA Workers’ Compensation System.
- Describe functions of case management relative to other involved parties.
- Describe the various rationales for using case management services in workers’ compensation cases.
- Apply case management concepts to real world cases within the California Workers’ Compensation System.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 5.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states
- Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education Recognition Point(s) (CERPS) in Category C
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehab Counselors (CRC)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 5.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
