Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define osteomyelitis and its causes.
- Identify signs and symptoms of osteomyelitis.
- Describe diagnostic tests and procedures for osteomyelitis.
- Outline various treatments of osteomyelitis.
- Identify risks and complications.
- Describe the impact on work and claims management.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (all states) (RN, LVN. LPN)
- Advanced Practice RN (APRN): This course includes 0.25 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
