DESCRIPTION
This package contains courses on topics required for annual caregiver training for those working in a residential care setting (RCFE) in California. Courses contained in this package cover topics in the required areas of:
- Cultural Competency and LGBT
- Personal Care Services
- Physical Limitations and Needs of Elderly
- Psychosocial Needs of Elderly
- Dementia Care
- Emergency Preparedness
- Medications Management
- Postural Supports
- Hospice and Restricted Conditions
- Resident Rights
The courses include 8 hours required on Dementia Care as well as 4 hours required on Postural Supports.
Learners who complete all the courses in this package will receive a certificate of completion of 20 hours of annual caregiver training. The certificate will contain the topics and hours included in the training. Learners may also choose to print out individual certificates after each module is completed. Each course contains a final exam that learners must pass with a score of 80% or higher; this exam may be taken as many times as necessary in order to pass.
