By the end of this course, the learner will be able to: Define implicit bias and the differences between implicit and explicit bias; distinguish the difference between System 1 and System 2 thinking; evaluate the origin of implicit bias, historically and within oneself; analyze stereotypes and stigmas, and implicit biases in healthcare; and discuss some measurement tools in evaluating implicit biases in healthcare.

This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 2.0 total participant hours by NAB/NCERS—Approval #20241126-2-A98153-DL. This course applies to the following professions:

  • Nursing Home Administrators (all states)
  • Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators (most states)

Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
