Description
This course provides an advanced overview of Alzheimer’s and strategies to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Learners will will be able to: List three barriers to getting a diagnosis; Identify at least three strategies professionals can use to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis; Discuss the importance of connecting families to Alzheimer’s specific supportive and educational programs and services.
Approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Manager (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before March 31, 2024.
