DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Identify legislative trends in medical error reporting requirements.
- Identify the relationship between federal and state error reporting laws.
- Discuss the legal implications of mandatory medical error reporting.
- Recite three or more publicly reported quality measures.
- Define the relationship between error reporting, quality measures, and healthcare reimbursement.
- Recall trends, methods, and outcomes of full medical error disclosure.
Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Florida. Learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
