DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Describe what is a denial, reasons for denial, and legal implications of the denial timeline.
- Identify the processes in dispute resolution, why litigate, and the claims administrators’ role in a trial.
- Recognize the regulatory guidelines and judicial involvement in the appeal process.
This course is approved for 3.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- California Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (CA BRN)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
