DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Define autonomy
- Explain why resident autonomy is important in an RCFE
- Describe the role of Resident Rights in promoting resident autonomy and maintaining compliance with laws and regulations related to safety
- Identify ways to provide an autonomous environment for residents while adhering to laws and regulations related to safety
- Describe how Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the relationship of each to Quality of Life in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly.
Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
