DESCRIPTION
This is a webcast of a seminar that took place on April 17, 2013, in Anaheim, CA by renowned spine surgeons Dr. David Chang and Dr. Robert Watkins, IV.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Recognize physical exam findings for cervical and lumbar spine pathology.
- Identify indications and contraindications for cervical and lumbar spine surgical intervention.
- Describe the most common spine surgeries.
- Discuss spine surgery post-operative recovery.
- Evaluate return to work potential following spine surgery.

This course is approved for 2.5 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education Recognition Point(s) (CERPS) in Category A

Course Details
To receive 2.5 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
