Addressing Implicit Bias in Healthcare (Caregiver Training) – 2.0 CE/Contact Hours

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

• Define implicit bias and the differences between implicit and explicit bias.
• Distinguish the difference between System 1 and System 2 thinking.
• Evaluate the origin of implicit bias, historically and within oneself.
• Analyze stereotypes and stigmas, and implicit biases in healthcare.
• Discuss some measurement tools in evaluating implicit biases in healthcare.

This course is intended to contribute to caregiver and/or staff training. Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
