DESCRIPTION
This Texas Board of Nursing Jurisprudence course meets 1 contact hour of the continuing education requirements for nurses practicing in the state of Texas.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the legislative purpose of the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
- Recall the Texas Board of Nursing Mission Statement.
- Define and compare the scope of nursing practice for registered nurses with licensed vocational nurses in Texas.
- List at least two standards of practice applicable to all nurses.
- Recall the definition of “professional boundaries” and its application in the use of social media.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
Course Details
To receive 1.0 contact hour of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
