This course provides an overview of the provisions of the ANA Code of Ethics for nurses, including 2015 updates. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: explain the purpose and role of the American Nurses Association (ANA); explain the history of the development of the Code of Ethics for Nurses; identify the nine provisions of the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses; and apply ethical standards to case studies effectively.
Approved for 1.0 continuing education unit-CEU-contact hour for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education

This course is also approved for ethics credits for Nurses and CCM. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2019.
