DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Differentiate between personality disorders and “difficult patients.”
- Identify general characteristics of people with personality disorders.
- Discuss and practice strategies to manage patients with personality disorder in the medical setting.
- Utilize strategies learned to create a plan of care.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Manager (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Course Details
To receive 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
