DESCRIPTION
This course offers an overview of the bioethical issues impacting healthcare professionals regarding the use of stem cells.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of stem cells.
- Recognize the bioethical concerns about stem cells.
- Define the current state and federal government guidelines and the ethical challenges for healthcare professionals.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Advanced Practice RN (APRN): This course includes 2.0 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours
- Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education Recognition Point(s) (CERPS) in Category B
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Course Details
Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours – Ethics Credits for Nurses, CCM, and CRC.
To receive 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
