DESCRIPTION

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify the basic anatomy of the shoulder and elbow.
  • Describe common occupational injuries affecting the shoulder and elbow.
  • List symptoms, diagnostic tools, and treatment options for various conditions of the shoulder and elbow, and develop a better understanding of the complexities involved.
  • Analyze clinical and claims management implications relative to shoulder and elbow injuries, through the utilization of three case scenarios.

Continuing Education Credits

This course is approved for 5.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:

  • Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
  • Certified Case Managers (CCM)
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
  • CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)

Course Details

To receive 5.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
