DESCRIPTION
This course provides an advanced overview of the Hospice Model of Care. It is appropriate for healthcare workers, social service professionals, and other professionals who may interface with hospice, as well as for patients, families, and others who are interested in learning more about hospice services and philosophies.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the philosophy of Hospice Care
- Identify five core members of the Hospice team and each role
- Explain three components of Hospice Care
- Define eligibility criteria for Hospice
- Analyze a case study involving Hospice

Course is approved for 4.5 CE/Contact Hours to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Florida.
