Helping Families Cope with a New Alzheimer’s Diagnosis (RCFE and RN) – 1.0 CE/Contact Hour

This course provides an advanced overview of Alzheimer’s and strategies to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. By the end of this course, learners will will be able to:

• List three barriers to getting a diagnosis.
• Identify at least three strategies professionals can use to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
• Discuss the importance of connecting families to Alzheimer’s specific supportive and educational programs and services.

This course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for:

• California RCFE Administrators
• California Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (CA BRN)

Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
