DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
This is a webcast of a seminar that was hosted by CareerSmart Learning. By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Explain the effects of opioids on the brain and nervous system and contributing factors related to opioid misuse.
- Identify and debunk some common myths related to chronic pain and opioid management using current research and clinical guidelines.
- Apply a person-centered, biopsychosocial approach to evaluating and managing chronic pain in clinical practice.
