Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe the difference between assisting with medications and administering medications.
  • Identify the restrictions for managing medications in an RCFE.
  • List at least three compliance requirements for managing medications in an RCFE.
  • Discuss the training requirements for RCFE staff to qualify to assist residents with medication management.

Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.

Coursework completed beyond the 10-hour per day limit will not be applied toward renewal requirements nor accepted by California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Administrator Certification Section (ACS).
