DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the importance of cardiac function in relation to tissue perfusion and sustaining life.
- Describe the anatomy of the heart’s physical structure as well as the components of the electrical system.
- Identify the basic components of the cardiac cycle.
- Discuss the components of cardiac output and the effects of heart rate regulation.
- Identify the coronary arteries and veins and understand the importance of myocardial perfusion.
- Identify the effects of impairments in myocardial perfusion.

Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hours for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in California.

Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
