DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Explain how the body maintains acid–base balance through respiratory and renal regulation.
- Interpret ABG values to identify common acid–base disorders.
- Recognize clinical conditions associated with acid–base imbalances.
- Apply acid–base principles to patient assessment and clinical decision-making.
- Implement appropriate nursing interventions based on ABG findings.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 3.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 3.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
